3. Evade and grab the egg. Use quick juke maneuvers to slip past the guard, then reach and take the egg. Eggs can be basic, rare, or legendary, but the stealing procedure is identical for every rarity.
4. Check the swim speed at the location. Each egg area displays a recommended swim speed. If your fish isn't fast enough, train on the endless pool to raise swim speed before attempting that zone.
5. Place the fish in your tank. After the steal, the result goes into your tank, where the egg hatches into the fish.

• Swim speed: Each egg location shows a recommended swim speed, and zones beyond your speed aren't reachable. Swim speed comes from training on the endless pool.
• Tank capacity: A full tank blocks placement until you buy more equip slots or unequip active fish to make room.
• Location difficulty: Early areas like Pearl Lagoon, Coral Reef, Snowy Sea, and Volcano have demonstrated successful steals. The deepest map section should be treated as out of reach until you can verify your speed meets its requirement in-game.

When collection fails
